As a volunteer-run organization, PYHA is 100% dependent upon our members’ selfless commitment of time and resources to create the most positive experience possible for our players. Our goal is to select the best volunteer coaches and staff, abide by the rules of conduct outlined in our by-laws, advocate and implement zero tolerance policies and elect committed individuals to ensure our continued success through general membership elections.
Requirements for any volunteer position are as follows:
How to volunteer:
This year USA Hockey has updated their volunteer system. In order for Prowl to verify that volunteers have completed the required background check and SafeSports modules, they are requiring we collect each volunteer's USA Hockey confirmation number first. Please fill out the short form in the link below with your USA Hockey confirmation number, name, and volunteer position (coach, off-ice volunteer, team manager, board member, etc) ASAP. We need this information PRIOR TO your volunteering!
If you haven't registered through USA Hockey (this is free for off-ice volunteers) or forgot your confirmation number and need to request a duplicate confirmation number, please do so now by clicking the following website:
Thank you and we apologize for this inconvenience.

Parents: WE NEED YOU! In order for the organization to run smoothly and efficiently, we need everyone’s assistance. What better way to stay connected to your child’s team than to volunteer? Do you have a passion for organizing? What about drawing/painting? Are you Cricut crafty? Do you like music? Do you like taking pictures or video? Are you handy with building things? You can use your talents to volunteer! If you have other talents or hobbies not listed, let us know and together we’ll find how to apply them to Prowl.
Here are only a few examples of how you can volunteer:
This is NOT a full list by any means! If you have a talent, let us know and we’ll find a way to apply it to Prowl!
The items with asterisks are important positions needed for every game. They are not difficult to do and are a lot of fun. You also get the best seat in the house during games too! If you are unsure of how to do something, please let Leslie Turner (email@example.com) know. She will be happy to meet you during practices and show you how. We must have these volunteers for each game to be played.
